Uncle Henry

Well, jvprat found an auction of what is probably* the last groovie game: Uncle Henry's Playhouse. Astonishingly, the person selling had three shrinkwrapped copies (and it doesn't look like Butterfly-ware, before anyone asks!). I had looked everywhere for this, so I was willing to pay the (quite high, but not FM-Towns high) price. There's still one copy left, if anyone wants it:
ION: I have no internet at home. Which makes work on t7gre awkward (and means I have to post this from work). But I'm getting some stuff done. Hopefully I'll get internet back start of next week, and be able to commit it.

* I say probably because we're just assuming it's a groovie engine game. Seems likely, as it is just a collection of puzzles from the earlier groovie engine games, but you never know till you see a file list!

I'm curious, did you receive that copy of Uncle Henry's Playhouse?

I ask because I recently found a copy on ebay... from a seller who also had 3 shrinkwrapped copies.

Furthermore, they seem to have sent it from America to England via land mail with no tracking number, only a customs number, which I hear can take up to three months to arrive assuming it is sent!

Yup, I did. It was as advertised too, tho the box was a little more squashed than I might have hoped :-) The contents were all fine though. Iirc, the seller also sent via land mail, could well be the same one. But it didn't take three months, about a week I think. Good luck with yours :-)

That was a faster reply than I was expecting! Consider me reassured. :P

Keep up the assumingly great work with your project by the way, I can't say I've tried it myself, but rather I stumbled across it while trying to find a GRV/GJD/etc extractor to record video of the 'unused scenes' in the 7th Guest for both a 'let's play' I'm making, and the 13th Doll forums.

It's good to see people like yourselves making solutions for crazy people like me who come along and want to dig into an ancient game!
